Pacific Powerboat Expo Offers Best Chance for Yacht Viewing!

Pacific Powerboat Expo Offers Best Chance for Yacht Viewing!

Every April, Jack London Square is the scene for the latest in power yachts big and small and a host of trailer boats for fishing, skiing, or just hanging out on the water. This year is no exception and the list of debuting boats at this event is longer than usual! The new Beneteau cruising trawler will been seen here first in Northern California, the Riviera 47 Convertible Sportfish, Siverton 380 Sport Bridge, and the SeaRay 480 Sundancer. Also debuting in Northern California will be two Carvers, the new 33 Sport Convertible and the 46 Voyager (a custom boat), the Albin diesel powered trailer boat, and the new Cabo 32 Express! Quite impressive! There is nothing like the opportunity to wander on and off 100 yachts in the water and really feel the sea beneath you. The April time frame usually delivers excellent boat show weather and Jack London Square has some of the best restaurants in the East Bay.

Getting to the show couldn’t be easier…take BART, ride AMTRAK right to the show, or if you want to drive, the 880 freeway delivers you almost to the show’s doorstep. Full directions to the show, a layout map of the event site, a list of exhibitors if you’re looking for some old friends, and discount tickets for admission are all located on the Northern California Marine Association’s web site at www.ncma.com. And if directions continue to be a problem for you, then you might want to stop by one of the marine electronics displays at the show and see the latest in personal guidance.

Spring shows are the best way to kick off the year’s boating season, and this show has been a favorite for a long time. Come out and spend a relaxing afternoon on the docks and see the marine industry has to offer!

Show hours are daily from 10am to 6pm, April 21-24, at Jack London Square, Port of Oakland. The show information number is 1(800) 698-5777.
