Monday June 18, 2001, Jack London Square Amtrak Station: Kazue Iguchi, 20 (left) and Chiho Torii, 19 (right) of Washington are on their way to Grand Canyon, Arizona. Originally, both of them are from Saitama, Japan. Currently, they are studying economics at Eastern Washington University. For summer vacation, Kazue says, "I want to travel as many places as possible." From Washington, they have stopped in Oakland and stayed one night, and when this picture was taken they are waiting to go to Los Angeles, on their way to their final destination, the Grand Canyon in Arizona. This morning, unfortunately, there was an automobile accident in between Davis and Martinez, delaying trains about 2-3 hours. Kazue and Chiho are the one of many victims. When I shot this picture, they were so happy to see their train arriving.
