"Haunting Of The U.S.S. Hornet" The International Foundation for Survival Research presented Loyd Auerbach, author and investigator of paranormal phenomena, who has investigated active "haunting" of the U.S.S. Hornet, the famous retired aircraft carrier berthed in Alameda last month. He can detail many ghostly encounters experienced by crew members and workers on the vessel. For his next engagement, contact the Hornet Museum for information.

Seasonal Tip:

TRUFFLES and CHANTERELLES are unearthed this month. Also, take a moment to pick a few pears and crack open some dungeness crab! Fisherman’s Wharf is a great place to wander in fall with less fog and crowds. The air turns crisp in the evening making a warm cup of chowder taste so good.

If you have a calendar listing that may be of interest for our waterfront readers please send it to swiftswan@aol.com by the 18th of the month.
